It wasn’t every day that a wild Pokemon was friendly enough to approach a trainer and his team, enjoying a quiet lunch outside. But that’s exactly what happened. Elliott hadn’t been expecting anything to appear while out on his picnic, but a curious little Buneary had hopped right out into the open to join the musician. She was a typical Buneary with chocolate fur and tufts of cream colored cotton decorated amongst her. The only thing that stood out to him was the Buneary’s striking blue eyes. That was definitely an odd trait to have.

“And what are you doing all the way out here?” Eli cooed to the small rabbit as he held out a piece of food for her to take.

Hesitantly, she hopped over and took the food from his hand, quickly nibbling on it. Her ears perked up and she gave a cheerful sigh as she finished. She hopped closer to him, wanting more food.

Eli laughed softly and nodded. “Of course you can have more.” He offered her a few more pieces of food before she finally hopped into his lap, nuzzling against him. “You’re quite the love-bug, huh mate?” He gently stroked her, feeling just how soft the fluff on her ears were. He’d always wanted to do that.

“Elliott, this Buneary belongs to a trainer.” Raven, Eli’s Gardevoir, informed her trainer via her telepathy as she had read the Buneary’s thoughts.

Eli blinked a bit before looking down at the rabbit. “Huh….should have known that.” He laughed again, shaking his head. “Such a docile Buneary could only belong to a trainer.” He sighed a bit but smiled at the bunny. “I guess she got separated from them, hm?”

Raven nodded. “We should return and reunite them.”

“I agree,” Eli nodded, carefully standing up with the Buneary in his arms. “Rae, would you mind taking everyone home….? I’ll take the Buneary over to the PokeCenter. Someone must be looking for her after all.” He breathed, looking down at the rabbit once again.

“As you wish.” Raven nodded once more and floated over to the flock of birds who had joined for the picnic.

“Thank you. Don’t worry about storing Marley’s harness and wagon. I’ll do that when I get back.” Elliott instructed, waving to his team before leaving the area - heading back down the path towards town. He knew it was too good to be true to capture a Buneary like this.

As Elliott made his way back into town, he was greeted shortly by a few of his free-roaming birds. Being a mainly flying-type trainer, Eli was rather casual about how his birds roamed about. They needed the space to spread their wings and all. He noticed that these incoming birds were none other than Piccolo, his Pidgeotto; Smorz, his Starly; Rez, his Rufflet; and Pirouette, his Toucannon. Eli wasn’t surprised to see his three of them together, but it was the first time that his Rufflet traveled with the more senior birds of the flock. It made him happy to know that his ever growing nest was welcoming the newest amongst their crew.

“Hey there, mates!” He called out to them, though only Smorz landed on his shoulder. The other three were more comfortable flying low beside him. “Found this lil bun out in the meadows. We’re gonna take her to the PokeCenter to look for her trainer.”

Pirouette simply rolled her eyes, clearly not interested in the rabbit.

Piccolo was full of curiosity over the newfound Buneary, though she had no interest in the Pidgeotto as she stuck her tongue out at him.

Rez cooed softly at the rabbit, also intrigued by the mon.

Smorz was too busy napping on Eli’s shoulder to care.

Elliott laughed at his Pokemon and all their varying personalities shining through. They always kept him fresh and awake, though he had been paying too much attention to notice his arrival at the Center. “Oh!” He gasped and scratched the back of his head. “You guys wanna come in with me?” He asked his mini-flock.

Half of them had decided not to partake with the Center while the other half stuck close to Eli - the latter half being Smorz and Rez. He bid farewell to Pirouette and Piccolo before entering the Center. “Well...let’s hope that your trainer is here or has been here looking for ya, mate.” He breathed, entering the distinct building.

As soon as he stepped foot inside the Center, he had to stop and blink. The entire PokeCenter was being overrun by small, screaming children as they ran around to look through the observation windows at the sick and recovering Pokemon. He didn’t mind kids, but this was a lot.

“A BUNEARY!”

Elliott heard one child cry from across the room, even over all the noise from the other kids. He could even feel the Buneary sink into his arms from all the noise. “Oh dear…” He breathed before being bombarded by needy, grabby childish hands all wanting to pet the little rabbit.

Elliott tried his best to hold the Buneary above the crowd of children as he made his way over to the Center’s main help desk. It was evident that Nurse Joy wasn’t exactly keen on all of the children running about either. “Okay, lads, you need to….give us….space….” Eli sighed and looked to Nurse Joy.

“How may I assist you today?” Nurse Joy asked, her usual smile faltering only slightly as she looked a bit tired from all this chaos.

Eli blinked a bit. “You look exhausted….” He noted, now getting a slight glare from the Center’s number one nurse. “Oh! Sorry! I mean….I was wondering if anyone’s been around here looking for a lost Buneary?” He asked.

Nurse Joy sighed and shook her head. “I cannot say….Since the children arrived, I haven’t exactly been able to have a moment to myself.”

Eli looked around at all the kids again before looking back at her. “I could always watch the tykes for a bit. I mean, to help you out, you know?”

Her eyes lit up as she clapped her hands together. “You would? Oh that would be wonderful! I could check with the other staff members to see if anyone’s been by~” She happily nodded. “Give me a few minutes and I’ll be right back~!” She sang before walking off.

Blinking, Eli looked back to the children who looked more like blood-thirsty monsters, eager to grab at the rabbit. “Oh dear….”
